Squiddles Exhibition

So on Saturday, Mark and I went down to the Squiddles Exhibition at Walrus Bar in Manchester.  The exhibition was organised by Matt Daniels (AKA Stickypop) in memory of his girlfriend who sadly passed away in July.
As Mark and I are both big fans of Tado, we were eager to get our hands on the prints that they had created for this exhibition.

I ended up buying 3 prints in total by Tado, Aaron Miller and JamFactory; all of whom are designers/illustrators I’ve been following lately and drooling over their work a little.  I’m very happy to have been able to buy some of their prints!

Fred Scragg; double great.

My great uncle (AKA my dad’s uncle) gave me one of his old cameras yesterday.

It’s an Olympus XA and I’m getting pretty eager to buy some film and go on a wander with it.

It’s an Olympus XA and I’m getting pretty eager to buy some film and go on a wander with it.   I’ll be expecting Mr. Adamson to be giving me tips and probably just taking over whilst I’m trying to learn new things, but it’ll be nice to finally get a toe in the realm of film photography.

Speaking of photography, if you see me shooting in anything but RAW from now on with my EOS then slap me.  I have the space for the files so I now I have no excuses.

Then there was a blog.

A blog, you say? Quite.

If you’re wondering how to get to my portfolio/work then just click RIGHT HERE.

I’ve just found out how easy it is to install WordPress using my hosting after faffing about with it for a while a couple of months ago. Something tells me I should look up tutorial files more often instead of trying to make it up as I go along, it’d probably save me time.

I’m not entirely sure how long it’s going to take me to figure out a routine for this and decide what I want to be posting, but it can’t hurt to start giving you more frequent updates to nosey at.

I might as well start with something that might juice up your eye sockets.

Cheers, Jason, for linking me to The Hammo.   NOW GET OFF TWITTER.

Pretty sweet illustration; images link to his portfolio!
